The birth of a poem...

The essence of very tiny detail, like a carefully placed comma, or an invisible sigh of admiration, distilled into dewdrops sliding over the long green leaves that protect tulips from overexposure, redeeming the beautiful bold color and adding a dimension of its own.

Then letting it go into thin air, like a weightless particle, arriving in far-away places, like a carefully thought-out idea, a blissful singular event, a flash of infinitesimal brightness, arriving at noon, completely negating shadows and at the same time completely absolving them.

The reign of calm arrived with these words and it is here to stay...

Diamond shaped tears

It takes a diamond to cut a diamond
It takes a heart to feel the precision of pain.
As I give life to this poem
This poem gives life to strange sensations…
It takes a look in the eyes to see it is a goodbye
It takes a blink of an eye to step into forever…
Nothing is definite beyond the blue of the sky
Nothing is for certain beyond the grey clouds.
Like gray and white shadows on an x-ray
They show the illness to the knowing eye,
So far no one has invented an x-ray for the soul.
As I leave diamond shaped tears to blend in the rain
Cut precisely, clinically round the awful pain
I leave it to someone else to deal with the mess
Beyond the look in my eyes, the state of my soul
Is anybody’s guess.
And the strange sensation could be centuries old
Some things are forever
It takes a stone to turn into a stone so cold.
A heart has no such quality
For better or for worse,
Feeling nothing at all could be
An eternal curse
Or a god bless
Anybody’s guess…

Ci sono strade che separano, altre che uniscono. La poesia รจ l'espressione dell'unione dell'anima con l'universo.
